PTR Raids

PTR, I decided to try out Alliance, and did [For The Alliance]...
This is us killing Lady Sylvanas...I felt bad. :( But we completed it and my mediocre pre-made PTR toon got her Black War Bear mount..

PTR Realm
Pictures of the Reclaiming of Echo Isles Quests

A short line of quests, but they're actually quite fun. And you get some nice rewards--a Sen'jin back cloak (though it's a white one with no stats...) and a Unique item that changes you into a troll! Super sweet. (The third image is the troll you turn into if you're a female toon.)
Only thing is, it has a 4-hr cooldown, and breaks when you shapeshift. :<>

Horde

We were running a random H ToC group, and the pally tank was doing his thing when the healer tells him that he shouldn't use Rank 1 spells.
Wait...He was using rank 1 spells, wtf!?
And the pally replies to him that he uses it because it helps him gain aggro...
How does beginning spells HELP gain aggro?
...

The healer asked him to change it, but he never did.

So we wiped, 4 times. Once on first boss, once on mobs, and twice on second boss. whattheshit. And the entire time, he never changed it.
So on the last wipe, we didn't even get a chance to boot him--he left. LOL.

Worst tank evar??

Guild Ventrilo

Liss's birthday was a few weeks ago.
We decided that when she signed on, we would all say 'Happy Birthday!' to her over vent. I suggested that someone should sing to her, and Derek spoke up saying he wanted to do it.
When she signed onto vent, we all screamed 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISS!' much to her surprise (and slight annoyance, as she didn't want anyone to know about her birthday.)
After she figured out who told us about her birthday, and we laughed it all off, Derek speaks up saying that he was going to sing a birthday song for her.
He clears his throat, and the vent goes silent as Derek begins his medley...He starts 'beatboxing' into his mic, beatboxing a simple but adorably effective 'rap,' saying happy birthday to her.
He ends his beatboxing rap, as I and the other girls burst out in laugher, closely followed by the other guildies.
I find incidents like this to be one of the things I enjoy about this game. Some say that playing video games is anti-social, but I feel as though I have created such an intricate and tight social network through this video game itself.

Wintergrasp -- best thing since sliced bread

Character: Renvi [FrostFire Spec Mage]
Horde
Realm: Anub'arak

--

So I got to level 80 less than a week ago, and I've been running BGs and WG to gain more honor points in hopes of gearing up.
I just equipped my 3rd piece of epic armor as I entered Wintergrasp. In this round, the Horde had to defend the main forge and cap/keep the surrounding GY's/Towers. I was running around the southern end of Wintergrasp, making sure our towers weren't in danger, etc. when I come by a male draenai. I see him target me, and Death Grips me to him. I attack back, and a duel ensues. We keep hitting each other--stuns and insta casts, each of us kiting around, jumping around trying to keep out of each other's range. I keep getting him down to half life, but he pops a HP pot or uses a heal to heal himself back up. I keep spamming Living Bomb on him, whcih helped incredibly as it kept damaging him and brought his HP down significantly.
Just as I was about to die (I don't have any heal spells) and about to admit defeat, a heal comes out of nowhere, healing me for all my health. A pally appeared to help me!
At that point, I focused on attacking the Draenai, and I soon came to the realization that this pally was an incredible healer. He buffed me right away, and kept my health up the entire time. I kept wailing on the draenai, but eventually my mana ran low, and the ominous text of 'Mana Low' flashed across my screen in bold red lettering. I quickly popped a mana pot and as I did another Alliance DK appears and starts attacking me. I keep my focus on the original guy, and am able to finish him off (finally) after about a 10 min. long duel between the two of us. My mana ends up running out again as I switch my focus to the second DK, and as I kite around the DK, the pally who was healing me pst's me saying 'sorry, oom.' At this point I try to keep the DK as far from me as possible, trying to prevent him from meleeing my health down. I pop all my insta casts and movement imparing spells, slowing him enough to use Mirror Image. My doubles attack him as I move off to the side and use Evocation to bring back all my mana. I start fighting him down to half life, and he does the same when all of a sudden I gain back 10k+ of my health. It was the pally again! He was able to gain back enough mana to start healing me again, and as I start to finish him off, a friend of mine (an undead DK) comes by and helps deliver the killing blow on the DK.
The two battles took at least a good 20 mins. to do, and it was an amazing duet between mage and pally, facing off against two DKs. I thanked him numours times through pst's afterward, in which he replied that it was no problem.
It was quite an experience, and almost Arena-esque, as overall it was more or less a 2v2 battle. I seriously want to get geared now, and start up an Arena team. If I can find a healer as good as that one, we could be a crazy sweet duo.

PvP is...

Character: Renvi [Frost Mage]
Horde
Realm: Anub'arak

--

Anub'arak is a PvP server, so naturally ganking the other faction (in this case, Alliance) is a must.
I log into WoW on my mage, and load into Nagrand. Nagrand has a town named Halaa in which either the Horde or the Alliance occupies, and the other faction must fight back for it by destroying 15 guards in Halaa. At the time, we had control of Halaa, but when I checked to see how many guards we had, I noticed that it was at 13/15, meaning an Alliance was killing them.
I decide to investigate, and I head down to Halaa to see if there were any Alliance hearby. Sure enough the guards were low on health, so someone is trying to bomb it. I walk further on and see a Night Elf Warrior trying to fight a guard. I decided to help out, though since he was lvl. 70 and I only lvl. 66, I sent my pet (water elemental) after him as I threw frostbolt from afar. He soon notices me attacking him, so he rushes toward me and kills me after an exchange of a few hits.
I walk back to my body (which doesn't take long since there is a graveyard within Halaa) and I heal myself then finish him off. Just as I kill him, a Tauren DK (level 67) comes by and sees the Alliance fall dead. He decides to protect Halaa with me, so we both camp his body.
This Nelf had a tendency to come after me. He would res and come right to me, or would res by me and attack me. The DK and I would always fight him dead though, and soon he would res and use his Night Elf Racial Ability that allowed him to turn ninja (but cannot move). We figured this out once his corpse disappeared, and we would aoe the ground, revealing where he was.
Eventually, he'd res and mount and tried to run away. We followed him to just outside the village, where we would kill him. This occured at least a dozen times--him res'ing one way or another, we'd see him, he'd see us, he would attack me or the DK, and we would kill him. He would kill trying, but we'd continue to kill him then taunt him, as he wouldn't release spirit right away.
Eventually he just signed off, as he never returened to his body. I went back to questing, and I am checking back every now and then at the body. 30 minutes later and his corpse is still there.

lol, fail Night Elf. : ]

Witness of a Fail Raid

Character: Senzir [ Death Knight ] (rip--deleted toon.)
Horde
Realm: Anub'arak

I finished a disappointing battlegrounds match, and I returned to the Battlegrounds area in Undercity, which lies in the Apothecarium. I mount on my Deathcharger and was about to ride to the Trade Center until I saw yellow text appear rapidly in the General Chat text box on the bottom left corner of my screen. The same words kept appearing in yellow: "Undercity is under attack!"
Being the curious person that I am, I became excited and was ready to investigate. I turn my mount towards the exit of the room, and I see a large group of people enter, each with their own name hovering over them, in red text. Red text...red text...I stood there, and it took me a moment to put it together. Red text...Alliance..Undercity under attack...These are the ones attacking Undercity!
Oh, got it.
But this time, their entire raid group had already entered the room, killing the guards that surrounded the boss--Sylvanas. I thought, hey, maybe if I stay still they won't kill me. Why I thought that, I have no idea, but no, they killed me anyway, and very easily, too.
I die and decide to walk back to my body, where I can also watch the raid take Sylvanas on. I res my body only to die again shortly after. I tell people on the Trade Channel about the current happenings occuring in the UC, and when I came back the third time, at least a dozen level 80 Horde players were there with me, surrounding the boss and killing off the entire Alliance group. I revive and back up into a corner, throwing off aoe's and other long range attacks. As I do this I see in the corner of my screen, some red text. I back up more and look down, only to see a pink haired dwarf mage sitting down, drinking some water to regain mana. He didn't seem to mind me, so I decided not to mind him. I /wave'd him, and as he got up to go out into battle once more, a purple ray shot out towards him, engulfing him and pulling him to a nearby Death Knight, who killed the poor kid in one shot.
This happened throughout the room, Alliance bodies flying left and right, at the complete mercy of the Horde. They didn't even get Sylvanas to half life before they were wiped out, and at the end stood Sylvanas and the Horde victorious, and the bodies of the dead Alliance scattered around the circular room. We then hailed Sylvanas, /hail, /bow, and etc. and walk up to the bodies of the Alliance who had yet to release spirit, and do various things to them.../spit, /lol, etc.
The Alliance would come back and try to ressurect their bodies, but we would see them and kill them immediately. Some were dumb enough to res in front of Sylvanas, who shot them dead in one shot. Others would res and make a run for the exit, only to have someone hit them dead with a long range attack. A few tried to hide as they hearth'd but that didn't work out either. Eventually they simply gave up and jus took the res sickness.
Eventually all the Alliance would give up, and in place of the fallen bodies of the Alliance were skeletons tiled throughout the room, forming a pattern of dead bodies surrounding the Banshee Queen.

Warsong Gulch - A Stalemate

Character: Renvi [Frost Mage]
Horde
Realm: Anub'arak

--

Best PvP BG ever.
We began with a few more people than the Alliance, but we soon evened out to a 10 v. 10 match.
I decided to go on D, along we a few other people, as the rest went on offense to cap the flag. Our team would get the flag and run it to about the middle of the area before it would be reset. The Alliance would attempt to get the flag, but would never get much farther.
This continued back and forth, neither team capping any flags. It was a complete stalemate for at least 20 minutes, until at last, we capped one flag. 10 minutes later we capped another, and the score stood at 2-0. Since the BG was 10-10, it wouldn't end early, so the war went on.
It was 2-0, with the Horde on top. Aiming for a Warsong Gulch perfection, my team heads for the final cap. As they head towards the Alliance base, 4 DK's enter our base as I stand alone on the flag. I summon my Water Elemental, and as I call for help from my team, I freeze them and begin aoeing from afar. One of my teammates come to help, but I die and she shortly after.
The Alliance ends up getting our flag and taking it to their base, which would be a cap for them, except we already had their flag and our carrier was sitting in our base. Bother flag cappers standing in their respective bases, neither able to cap without their own flag back in their base.
I and a few others protect our flag carrier, while the rest of my team headed to kill their flag carrier. It was a long process--the Alliance would attack us, and I and the other people on D work together to defeat them. After another 10+ minutes, we kill the flag carrier and the game finally ends! Everyone cheers and woot, congrating each other and laughing at the ridiculous time spent on this BG.
A WG Perfection, and probably one of the longest battleground pvp's ever. I found out later it took more than a hour to finish that game.
They were a great team, and it was a great PvP match...
